Project Design 2014: Healing The Body and Soul

Bedroom: Charles Pavarini III and J. Randall Tarasuk  Charles Pavarini III Design Associates, Inc.

The power of color for healing and technology is carefully and thoughtfully incorporated into this bedroom design.   Shades of blue can be very calming.  At a touch of a button the lights are programmed to deliver a calming blue bathroom where you relax in the tub and enhance the  feeling of calm and well being.  Lavender filled plush toys that warm up to give aromatherapy, children’s books selected with color in mind, and rocks/crystals that deliver a calming energy are just a few of the carefully design elements you’ll find.

As designers, we have the duty to help others heal through their environment.

In the bathroom, imported mosaic tiles were individually placed to create an one- of-a-kind design.  Bravo AKDO tile who did all of the bathroom tile.

Meditation Room – Kim E. Courtney Interiors

Thoughtfully done, providing a quiet space for families members to disconnect and go within, read a spiritual book, practice yoga and breath.   It’s a spiritual space with books such as Chicken Soup for the Soul and The Daily Calm.

“I hope that this experiential design experience is something that everyone that walks into this room can embrace. It’s not just decorating; it’s not just interior design.” –Kim Hendrickson Radovich
