Happy Friday! It has been a busy week. On the home front, my son found his first apartment in NYC. We are getting ready for his move. But for now, I’m going to enjoy the weekend.
Looking for a weekend tote, I was immediately struck by the botanical print in this delicious handbag. The silhouette is from Tory Burch’s runway show. It resembles a garden basket. A garden tote with clusters of flowers to bring the garden with me. Love it!
Heirloom Tomato Salad. Sweet and flavorful from the local farmers market.
There is a garden with 3 ft. tall delphiniums near town. They are a favorite in the garden. Hopefully, my florist will have a few stems I could bring home to enjoy.
A little me time with champagne and bath bubbles please.
Do something fun for yourself this weekend!
Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is a universal favorite for men and women. If you are looking to add shades of blue to your décor, take a closer look at Bungalow 5’s lighting and furniture for a touch of blue.

Lucite and acrylic furnishings make a great mix in a traditional space. Incorporating accessories is a good place to start. It can be as simple as adding a lucite tray to your coffee table or lucite bookends to your bookshelf. One thing is certain, a little lucite will shake things up. These lucite and acrylic pieces caught my eye.
Hudson’s Valley Alpine collection: The geometric frame and brass accents make a stunning combination.
Lucite bookends. Place a favorite statuette on the base to change your display.
The armless Z-shaped acrylic chair is sleek and modern.
A vintage trunk gets an instant update with Lucite chairs.
Colorful toile and Lucite bar give a dining room a touch of traditional chic.
Acrylic counter stools keep this all white kitchen elegantly simple.
Designer Ashley Whittaker adds an acrylic coffee table to open up the seating area.

It is about Honor, Pride and Respect because they deserve nothing less. Thank you to our military and their families.
Happy Friday! It is an exciting time at home. I’m helping my son find his first apartment. We went apartment shopping in NYC. The views are amazing, but they do come at a price.
The amenities are impressive, some include an indoor lap pool, 24 hour gym, movie theater, lounges with pool table and fireplace surrounded by more beautiful views of Manhattan. What we want most is a great location and 24 hour doorman service. The doorman comes in handy for safety and receiving packages, since he’ll be working long hours.
I was happy for him. What’s next? Organizing and shopping for furniture. Watch out the college graduates are taking over NYC. Happy Weekend.
Looking for outdoor pillows? Blue and white is my favorite outdoor color combination for pillows. Pretty outdoor trim on pillows add a decorative detail.
Beautiful outdoor fabrics offer UV protection for weather durability. I enjoy blue and white, but there are a range of patterns and colors to create the ultimate outdoor décor.

The time has come to attend graduation ceremonies with family and friends. We are happy and proud of my son, Brian. He will graduate Babson College this weekend. Tory Burch will be the keynote speaker. The forecast may be raining and humid. Sundresses are perfect for the occasion. They will help to stay cool and pretty during graduation day.

Wedding season is here. It is an exciting time for the couple and their family and friends. Marriage is all about give and take. When it comes to decorating their first home, couples have a difficult time. Combining taste in style should not be stressful. Follow these simple tips when decorating your first home together.
1. Bring into your home what you love. Donate items you no longer need.
2. Mix it up. Invest in antique furniture pieces that you can build on, not disposable furniture. I’ve owned the same sofa for 18 years. It has lived in three homes, reupholstered once and still looks fabulous.
3. Follow the 30/30/40 rule to decorate your home. 30% hers, 30% his, 40% ours. Your first place should be a reflection of you both. Make decisions on new purchases together balancing feminine and masculine décor. If he wants that old leather chair, offer him a new leather chair with good bones in his favorite brown leather.
4. Hire a professional to help you implement your design. A good designer saves you time and money. Integrating balance, proportion, light, color, and texture to your room is important to creating a space that feels good. A designer will also introduce you to “trade only” quality products. Your project will be complete and your marriage will be healthier for it.
