Hello December! A few months ago, I was chosen to design a table for the American Cancer Society’s 8th Annual Hope Lodge NYC Holiday Bash. The Holiday Bash is an annual event that combines wine, dining and design to raise funds for an incredible cause, Hope Lodge NYC. The gala will take place December 6, 2016 at the historic Harmonie Club in NYC. Press preview is scheduled between 5-6pm. The theme of this year’s event is “Seasons of Hope,” reflecting on the journey of cancer patients. Designers will create a tablescape with their interpretation of their selected season. Can you guess which season I selected? Follow me on Instagram for updates.
The Holiday Bash raises funds for Hope Lodge NYC, which provides an environment that focuses on healing for those who are battling cancer away from home. Last year, the event raised over $220,000. Every dollar counts and here’s why:
- $10,000 provides 200 days and nights of lodging at Hope Lodge.
- $5,000 provides wigs and other supplies for 25 women to participate in the Look Good? Feel Better program offered to guests at Hope Lodge.
- $2,500 provides cable television service for all guest rooms for nearly one year.
- $1,000 provides 10 days of music and art therapy for Hope Lodge guests.
I’d like to share this Today Show coverage that showcases just how much Hope Lodge NYC has impacted the lives of those who are battling cancer.
