Hello, again. I’m back from my summer break. It has been a busy two weeks. I took a trip to Connecticut and visited Southbury. We stayed at the Heritage Hotel and Conference Center where we stayed many times when the kids were young. It’s close to shopping and antiquing. I love that it has an indoor and outdoor pool, a great indoor racket ball, a ping pong table to enjoy, which makes it perfect for winter family time, too. We also visited Freeport, Maine for some back to school shopping. If you visit Freeport stop by Harraseeket for lunch. It’s 10 minutes from the outlets down local roads. You’ll love the beautiful historic homes with pretty gardens on the way to the Freeport pier.
Our stay was short and we headed home to pack up my son’s things for his junior year at Babson College. Between packing I took my daughter and her friends to the One Direction Concert in Philly. It was a blast, literally. There were fireworks, lasers, confetti and lots of girls screaming. I enjoyed every minute of it, to my surprise (except the screaming). Then we were off the next day to drop-off my son at college. Except we made a stop in Warwick, NY to look at a house my husband liked.
Guess, what? We are moving to Warwick, NY. Yes, it happened very quickly. I love Warwick, NY. Although the timing is a little off, I’m going to embrace it and go with the flow. It will be country living at the best time of the year, Autumn: apple picking, country landscape, cider donuts, farm animals.
Don’t worry, I will be spending time in Princeton, NJ, too. It is important to me to continue nurturing my friendships and servicing my design clients. While I get things ready for our move, let’s stay in touch on Instagram & Twitter: @idhomedecor and FaceBook: Ivy de Leon Designs
