I live between two worlds of design, high and low. I love luxury, quality goods and appreciate a great DIY project. I realize that not all are born with a silver spoon. I came from modest beginnings, but my parents always appreciated quality furniture, family life and great food. Perhaps it all comes from working with their hands making furniture in the Dominican Republic. Crafting hand-made furniture is an art. The price on a piece of furniture reflects so much more then just the furniture itself. It reflects the talent, time and material it takes to manufacture the piece. To my friends, I say gather your dollars, wait to buy that piece of furniture you love, that you will share with your family and friends, that you will snuggle up with your kids and pets and make memories for many years. I am thrilled to be part of the Design Bloggers Tour at High Point Market, the furniture capital of the world, to bring you a peek into showrooms that may not be in your neighborhood but have access to purchase items through a designer. Join me on the blog and social media as I continue to share beautiful, well-made furniture and the excitement of High Point Market.
