Happy New Year! On this first day of 2016, I’m counting my blessings. We moved into our house last week. The scene was pretty crazy. We all managed to pull it off. The Christmas tree was up on Christmas Eve, just in a nick of time. The kids did a great job decorating the tree and baked cookies for Santa.
We shared Christmas just the five of us for the first time in 20 years. We danced, laughed and enjoyed being in our new home together. Things were a little quiet for New Year’s Eve. All the kids had parties to attend, while Mark and I rang in the New Year with his mom by a cozy fire and Dick Clark’s Rock and Eve.
Later today, everyone will be back home baking and making rum balls with grandma. We might grill outdoors with the mild forecast. Before things get busy, here a few images of the of the living area. We sanded the floors and stained them walnut. The ceilings are high and the room has great natural light.
In the evening, we are blessed to enjoy a beautiful view of the backyard.
From our home to yours, have a Healthy and Happy 2016.
