Hanging plates on the wall makes a beautiful display. Charles Faudree shows us the magic of his French design in his book Charles Faudree Interiors. I confess, I have a weakness for all things tabletop. This weekend I found pretty majolica salad plates at Pottery Barn. Pottery Barn makes it affordable to get the look of the vintage cheerful colors and embossed nature motifs. The set of four salad mix plates retails for $49.50. Vintage majolica plates are priced significantly higher. They come in various colors and nature inspired designs.
Vintage pieces could be found for less. I found two plates on my visit to the Hamptons this past summer. Eventually they will be displayed on the wall, for now I’m enjoying them on my kitchen mantel.
