If you love design and color, I’m sure you are excited to hear Pantone introduce the new color for 2014. Welcome, Radiant Orchid. According to Pantone, this color is “an enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones” that “inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health”. Take notice as design and fashion, as well as other industries, welcome radiant orchid in their new product lines.
Upon hearing Pantone introduce the 2014 color of the year, I started exploring variations of radiant orchid, purple and fuchsia. I admit, I have not used purple in my home. But if you recall in my Thanksgiving inspiration post, I must have been on to something, because all I could dream of was having a beautiful tabletop in purple and lavender. Join me in exploring the radiant orchid on Pinterest, here. I’ve pulled a few more designs to share from one of my favorite designers, Tom Scheerer.
A fresh combination of the use of purple in the bedroom with Tiffany blue on the walls, a purple tufted headboard, Kelly Wearstler Bengal Bazaar Magenta fabric on chair.
Purple looks great in the bedroom, outdoors and the kitchen. Designer fabrics take the room from good to great with a harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink.
I’m excited to see more designs with Radiant Orchid. Enjoy more of Tom Scheerer’s designs in his new book, Tom Scheerer Decorates.
