Designer Bloggers Conference 2016

Participating in seminars and learning about the latest product is all part of the job that I love.  Things were a little quite on the blog this week while I was in Atlanta attending the Design Bloggers Conference.  I hope you followed me on Twitter and Instagram, @idhomedecor,  as I shared photos and tips from the conference.  It is a must attend event if you are a blogger.  This was my third year attending the conference founded by Adam Japko, CEO and Founder/Owner of Esteem Media, Inc, Design Bloggers Conference and the Home Digital Design Marketing Summit. The conference brings together bloggers, designers, brands, and keynote speakers for a special event.  This year’s speakers included Fashion Designer, Cynthia Rowley.  Cynthia also launched her first home furniture collection at High Point Market with Hooker Furniture, a range that includes 140 pieces.

India Hicks, author, model, entrepreneur, TV personality and daughter of famed designer David Hicks.  India is a tastemaker and influencer.  She is beautiful, funny and smart.

Justina Blakeney is a designer, blogger and author of the New York Times best-selling book The New Bohemians.  Her passion was contagious when she took command of the stage.

Julianne Taylor, owner of Taylor Burke Home  and Photographer, Stylist, Blogger and friend Courtney of French Country Cottage gave us some insight on how to  collaborate with brands.  Designers Mary McDonald and Nathan Turner shared their designs and story on how they got started in the design business.

These are just a few of this year’s Design Bloggers Conference dynamite line up, and of course, all the great technical ins and outs of running a blog, social media participation, and how to build your brand. What keeps me coming back to Designer Bloggers Conference is the opportunity to reconnect with bloggers, brands, and being in the know of the lasted social media industry news.  That is just part of it. There is so much more.
