February is just around the corner. Did you know that February is American Heart Month? In our busy life, we sometimes forget to take care of our health. Heart health education and research is so important to all of us as women. Heart disease is the No.1 killer of American women. Today, I’m dedicating this post to heart health education and research and how we can help raise awareness.
Beginning February 1, the Charles P. Rogers Red Bed Campaign (#redbed) launches to help raise funds and awareness for this cause. Charles P. Rogers is a great brand and is once again partnering with The Heart Truth® to join the fight against heart disease. You know how much I love red. A red bed would be a great focus in a bedroom. If you want to
get involved here’s how to get started. On February 1 and running until February 10, supporters can visit http://www.charlesprogers.com/heartawareness to bid on one of two custom made red Leighton beds. The winners will be announced on Valentine’s Day and once again 100% of the proceeds raised will go to benefit women’s heart health education and research. Don’t forget to schedule your annual physical. I like to schedule my doctor’s visit around Feb 14, Valentine’s Day. It’s my reminder to take care of my heart in order to be around for my family.
