The start of the week is bringing old man winter with cold and ice. There are two ways to think about it, plan a holiday getaway or enjoy the great indoors. The holiday getaway may come later. Today, I’m enjoying the holiday season indoors and taking a little time to deck the halls.

A natural wreath decorated with pinecones, cherries, lemons, limes and miniature apples.

Pinecones and angel wings adorn the Christmas tree this year with a silver and gold theme.

Last year, I found a box of miniature pears at the thrift store. This year, I found the perfect little tree to display them. They pair so nicely. (Ha, Ha) Decking the halls wouldn’t be the same without Christmas tunes. For a relaxing sound, I enjoy listening to the The New York Acoustic Christmas Project album.

The ice is melting and I hear birds singing in the backyard enjoying some winter berries, perhaps reminding me that there is beauty in everyday.
Thanks for stopping by.
