Out and About: Michael Herold

Named 2012 House Beautiful Next Wave Designer, Michael Herold’s designs have been gracing the pages of magazines and showcased at the Princeton Showhouse.   His talent and charm have made him one of the up-and-coming interior designers to watch.   On Friday, I had the opportunity to visit and chat with Michael at his new store, Michael Herold, located in historic Lambertville, NJ.

The beautiful showroom and design studio is a combination of home decor, antiques, one-of-a-kind vintage and mid-century modern finds.    A stop to Michael Herold is a must this holiday season.  Bring home a few items from his home collection to add to your decor.  The store is located at 287 South Main Street in the historic LaceWorks Building in Lambertville, NJ.  Happy Shopping!

Happy Thanksgiving 2012

I very excited to have my boys home from college. As a mom, I know breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  With that in mind, I prepared pecan pumpkin spice pancakes,  mix from Williams-Sonoma, and set the table.  The only problem is, it’s 11:00 and they’re still sleeping.  That’s college life…  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Thrifting: Night Tables

Thrifting is always more fun when I go with friends.  I’m so happy to have designer neighbors and friends who share in the thrill of the hunt.  A few weeks ago, we hopped in the car and off we went.   My little treasure: night tables, solid wood, with lots of potential, were sitting waiting to be claimed.  Here they are:

I decided to paint the tables in antique silver (the color is a soft gray/blue/silver).  After a little sanding and paint, don’t they look great?  I paired them with Chinese lamps bought at auction.  Thanks Matt and Karen for the ride to our thrifting adventure.  Ready for another trip?
