Light It Up: Chandelier Covers

Giving your chandelier a new look is easy with chandelier covers from Chandelier Parts.  Constructed of custom-designed and printed art paper adhered to a cardboard sleeve, each kaarskoker sleeve is fully saturated with color. The matte finish gives the candle sleeve a nice hand, which adds to its refinement. Very little effort is required for installation to your light fixture.

Double Shower Curtains

A glass shower door would be great in the bathroom.  But if your bathroom has a shower curtain, like our rental, doubling up the shower curtains makes it more impressive.   They look great and function beautifully, keeping the water in the tub, not on the floor.

A quick update on my Spring spruce up in the kids’ bathroom:  The HomeGoods shower curtains I bought need  something more.  I added a contrast grosgrain ribbon giving it the perfect accent to coordinate the look in the bathroom.

The bathroom is coming along.   What do you think of  double curtains for the bathroom?

Thanks for stopping by.

Nate Berkus for Target

Have you seen Nate Berkus’ collection for Target?   “I created this collection for Target with my philosophy that homes should evoke a feeling, not a theme,” said Berkus.   His aesthetic were not sacrificed, when it came to designing on a budget.

Nate’s collection includes bedding, lamps, towels, curtains and home accessories.  I love the collection because it’s masculine, contemporary with a hint of glam.  In addition, I’m crazy for pineapples and  tortoise shells.  Nate does a beautiful job of re-introducing two classics in a fresh light using neutrals and texture at a great value.  Here are my “have to have it.”

Pick up Nate’s book, The Things That Matter.  The cover alone is reason to keep this “beauty” on the coffee table.

Coral Design Board Inspiration

Coral is a fresh alternative to orange for Spring.  I’ve had this beautiful pinned image for sometime now.  I love the combination of coral and blue and the playful details.  Since the kids’ bathroom was in need of  a little Spring update, I was happy to use this inspiration image for my project.

A trip to HomeGoods was the perfect start.  I love HomeGoods because it carries everything  for the home at a great price.  I found two shower curtains (some times two are better than one), a floor mat, and a ceramic elephant.  Today I’m out and about finding a few more pieces to complete my project.

Are you planning any projects for Spring?  What room are you working on?

Happy Friday: 3/1/13

Happy Friday!  I’m so happy it’s March, which means Spring is just around the corner.

It’s too early for flowers to bloom here in New Jersey.  The soil is cold and the buds are barely peeking out their heads.  Nevertheless, today I’m smiling and walking with a little hop in my step knowing that Spring will be here soon.

I’m craving  something fresh for Spring.  I found it in this cantaloupe color from  Better Homes and Gardens Must-Grow New Perennials for 2013.

There is beauty in the simplicity of these ferns.   Have a wonderful weekend.
