Designer Timothy Whealon creates a little paradise. I would love to have a pool. The studio would be the perfect spot for a pool/guest house. A well-maintained hedge is a great alternative to a wood privacy fence.

On Monday I travelled near Boston to pick up by son from college. I’m so happy to have him home. I’m getting excited to take a road trip with the family. As we all get ready to pack our cars for summer vacations, remember to include a travel emergency kit.

One of the places I hope to visit again this summer, is Colonial Williamsburg. I went for a long weekend last year. It was not enough time to enjoy all that it has to offer. Things have been so busy, I forgot to share my weekend project. I’m updating the décor in a small bathroom. This is a small budget project. Hunting for items on a small budget is challenging, but with some creativity, good sourcing and patience the finished project is rewarding.

Where do you go to relax? The kids are off for the summer in two weeks. I’m obsessed with cottage living this time of year. It would be wonderful to have a little place by the beach for the summer.
